Our Management Team
Gateway Domestic Violence Services was formed in 1977 and is formerly known as Gateway Battered Women’s Services, a non-profit 501 (C) agency. The experienced management has been servicing victims of Arapahoe County for 39 years. With more than 50 full-time, part-time and volunteers, Gateway continues to grow helping the diverse needs of our domestic violence victims.
Linda James began serving as the Executive Director of Gateway in 1990. She has over 35 years of experience in administration of nonprofit agencies with expertise in grant writing, supervision of personnel and fundraising.
Director of Community Development
Jeneen is the Director of Development and Public Relations for Gateway. She has been associated with Gateway since 1990, volunteering for three years and continued her association as a paid employee. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications and Journalism. Her expertise is in public speaking, writing, special event planning and volunteer coordination.
Director of Programs
Donna serves as the Director of Programs of the agency and is responsible for program development, supervision of staff, and services to women and children. Donna has worked at Gateway since 1990 and has over 30 years in the domestic violence field. Donna has her Masters in Counseling.
Director of Court Advocacy
Lisa is the Director of the Court Advocacy Program. She holds a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and began with Gateway in 2012. She is responsible for directing the program, supervision of court advocates, providing direct services and coordinating the criminal justice response to domestic violence victims.
Residential Program Director
Stephanie Walters is the Residential Program Director. Beforehand, Stephanie was the Director of Operations at Catholic Charities Samaritan House, a position she has held since 2003. Stephanie also provided Management for Holy Rosary, which provides emergency shelter services for women experiencing homelessness on a nightly basis. In addition to work with some of our most vulnerable individuals. Stephanie is looking to continue her education, and is extremely passionate about working with survivors of domestic violence, and some of our most defenseless women and children.
Tomeka is the Director of the Nonresidential Program. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services/Management and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. She became employed with Gateway in 2016, and is responsible for overseeing nonresidential services which provide counseling to adults and children. Tomeka’s background includes private practice and child welfare.
Coleen is a Colorado native with over 15 years nonprofit administration experience. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration and is a lifelong advocate for youth and the disadvantaged. Before joining Gateway her most recent role was Executive Director for Back On The Block Youth Outreach. She has also served on the Pirates Youth Organization board of directors.
Residential Program Director
As the Residential Director of Extended Stay, Patrice is responsible for the daily operations, program development, and direct services to the women and children. With Gateway since 1997, Patrice holds her BA in Criminal Justice and Criminology and has her Master’s in Public Administration.
